Such a peaceful and beautiful place. Wonderful area for walking. Also enjoyed exploring around Gunnerside, Muker & Kettlewell. Lovely day in Middleham watching the race horses training too. Stayed 21st September 2019

  • Joy & Richard Scoffield (Saturday, September 28 19 12:58 pm BST)

Thank you for the use of this delightful cottage which has been ideal for Richard and me. It is in a beautiful area, easy to visit The Lakes and Dales. We have had some good tours and been able to visit a friend who has moved to Ilkley. The weather has been beautiful each day as well. It was disappointing not to meet the owners as they were on their holidays too! Stayed 14th September 2019

Just got back from camping over the Bank Holiday weekend and although it was busy it didn't feel over crowded.
Loved their rule of no music as there's nothing worse than listening to other people's taste in music.
Alyson and Guy were very friendly and were on hand to assist almost continually over the weekend
Permanent firepit was great and dry wood very reasonably priced so perfect for keeping warm in the evenings
    Highly Recommended

Our first camping ever. We really enjoyed it. No electricity, no phones, no tv. Evenings campfires, thousands of stars what you can’t see in city. Perfect! Big thank you to Alyson&Guy!

  • Adam and Julie (Friday, August 30 19 12:59 pm BST)

This is an amazing, ‘get away from it all’ campsite. We stayed in our own tent just before the bank holiday so there was lots of space. Alyson and Guy have put a lot of work in to get it just right. Facilities are excellent and the location and views are spectacular. Being able to have a fire makes it pretty magical. I wish I’d brought the kids when they were young. It is perfect for families, serious walkers and anyone wanting to wind down and feel rested. The best I’ve visited.

  • The Elliot Family (Thursday, August 29 19 09:39 pm BST)

We had a lovely week at the cottage. We explored the hills and waterfalls. We were welcomed by our hosts Alyson & Guy who recommended the Chippie in Hawes and Wensleydale Cafe over the Spa - both were very nice.

  • Alison Gerry & Auntie Mary (Thursday, August 29 19 09:32 pm BST)

Lovely cottage, lovely area and such friendly welcoming hosts. We have had a great time exploring the area. It's been delightful. Thank you.

  • Meg Galsworthy (Wednesday, August 21 19 11:43 am BST)

Before I arrived I was a little apprehensive of how the owners of the campsite would be (due to the way the rules were written). Shouldn't have worried; I have never met such warm, welcoming and attentive owners. We had a big group and they were incredibly helpful. They send a text before you arrive, letting you know about the weather, greet you when you get there and go through where everything is and were always around if you needed them. Lovely people.

The field where you camp is immaculate, the area is stunning. Perfect! I cannot recommend it enough.

  • Matt (Friday, August 16 19 03:34 pm BST)

Hired a Tipi Tent - exceptional.

  • Victoria Parsons (Friday, August 16 19 03:32 pm BST)

WOW what an excellent campsite. Aly & Guy were excellent hosts. We hired a Tipi for a 1 night stay. The site is spotless. Facilities were good. There are showers, toilets and a washing up station which are all regularly checked and cleaned. The campsite is quiet after 10pm which is great as we have visited others where the noise goes on all night! You can purchase firewood and have a Campfire outside your Tipi, definitely a must, lots of fun and we sat up watching the stars whilst keeping warm! Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

  • Oliver Astey (Friday, August 16 19 03:26 pm BST)

Brilliant camp site with excellent views. The site was well maintained. Fantastic facilities for a back to basic site which also included a "Family Toilet" (Two Toilets) and warm showers. There was an indoor washing up sink with hot water too.

  • Tony Goundry (Tuesday, August 13 19 01:12 pm BST)

Nice back to basics site, clean but basic toilets and shower facilities, fire pits on pitches are great even though we never got to use it due to torrential rain, nice area for walking and only a few miles in car from Hawes to get supplies.

  • Oliver Loveday (Monday, August 12 19 03:33 pm BST)

Really beautiful spot for a quiet camping experience. The valley is stunning and no photo can do it justice. Pitches are well kept with their own place to have a fire. Hot showers and toilets in the barn and great pubs and restaurants nearby. Wish we had stayed longer!

  • keeley and gio (Sunday, August 11 19 08:28 pm BST)

  • Ian (Sunday, August 11 19 06:51 pm BST)

Great little campsite in a remote and beautiful part of Yorkshire. Really helpful and friendly owners, Alyson and Guy. Good, clean facilities and nice option of a fire pit for each pitch. Thanks very much!

  • Shani Kelly (Friday, August 09 19 03:45 pm BST)

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Stablefell. The site is beautiful, remote, rural and peaceful, everything we were looking for. It's location is perfect and we spent the next day visiting Aysgarth Falls. There's plenty of other places to visit nearby too. Aly and Guy were very helpful too. We'll be going back again!

  • Paula and Matt (Thursday, August 08 19 01:17 pm BST)

My Gold DofE group recently spent a night at StableFell. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It is a lovely campsite in a quiet area with a great view and excellent facilities; we will definitely use this again!

Lovely little cottage and a lovely week. Great location very peaceful. Thanks Alyson & Guy

  • Chris (Wednesday, July 24 19 09:14 am BST)

We had terrific evening camping with friends and our two children (6&4). The campsite is beautiful, well laid out in a relaxed fashion, and the facilities are all that we needed. Great to be able to have a campfire, and the kids loved playing the wheelbarrows (or the 'Ride of Death' as Dad called it!).

    Much recommended for families.

  • Ems (Monday, July 22 19 05:15 pm BST)

My favourite campsite by far! We had a fantastic time camping. The views were absolutely beautiful!
This is a back to basic campsite however it has all the facilities you need for a good camp trip. Toilets and showers were always clean. Hosts Alyson and Guy were super friendly and available at all times.
The location was great for our weekend trip to the Dales with cute villages near by and lots to explore! Such a good vibe on this site and we will certainly come back again :)

  • Pauline Danny & Gail (Friday, July 19 19 01:10 pm BST)

Had a fabulous time at Fell Cottage. The weather was sunny most of the time - great place to walk to semerwater and back over the hills. Lots to do - saw Kettlewell, Muker, Ingleton, Kendal, not forgetting the Wensleydale cheese factory with tasting room! Yummy! thank you Guy & Alyson.

  • Dawn & Andrew Toastie & Flynn (Wednesday, July 17 19 02:52 pm BST)

Lovely cottage and very well equipped. We had a great week and weather fantastic in the second half. Great location to explore Dales. Lots of great walks from the doorstep. Walked to Hawes over top of the dale - fab views and 28000 steps!

  • Lisa & Alan Stockport (Wednesday, July 17 19 02:50 pm BST)

Great location for exploring the Northern Dales. The walks from the front door can give some fantastic views (Bardale Beck and back along the roman road is a fab day out) The drive through swaledale from Gunnerside to Nateby is unbelievable majestic and remote.

  • Raven family (Wednesday, July 17 19 02:48 pm BST)

Very good nice and cosy cottage, we managed to dodge the weather nearly all week. Thank you. Roy Tom & Janice Raven

  • Francis Muir (Monday, July 15 19 11:58 am BST)

A delightful campsite in the most beautiful location. Lots of great things about the site but here are my highlights. No cars allowed on the site, you have to park up in the car park. Lots of peace and quiet. Camp fires allowed. Very nice, clean facilities. The owners are always around and are very friendly and helpful.

  • Gemma & John Ditchfield (Monday, July 15 19 11:13 am BST)

Just back from a one night stay and looking to book again. Was exactly as described and just what was needed, peace and quiet. The owners where very welcoming and friendly. Views were fab and had all the facilities you need when your trying to escape reality. Will definitely be going back, highly recommended. Thank you :)
