Stablefell camping and our holiday cottage are set in acres of beautiful meadowland on the edge of the little hamlet of Marsett, at the very centre of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, (DL8 3DG).
A rural countryside holiday in Marsett set in the stunning limestone hills of the Yorkshire Dales make it the perfect location for starting out on walks straight from the cottage doorstep / tent flap, as well as the opportunity for fishing, canoeing, wind surfing or sailing on the nearby Lake Semerwater, (day tickets available at Low Blean Farm), and enjoying the abundant local wildlife through Bird-Watching, Deer Stalking, Pony Treking or simply just taking in the serene stillness of it all...............
Marsett itself has that true rustic country charm where in the summer months cattle and sheep roam freely, (so please ensure you close all gates), and is located within the beautiful valley of Raydale in Wensleydale.
Only a 0.5 mile walk, (or a 1.5 mile drive), from the glacial lake Semerwater, the largest of the only 2 natural lakes in Yorkshire, stocked with Bream, Roach, Perch Pike and wild Brown Trout.
3 miles from Bainbridge, (part of the 2014 Tour de France route), 5 miles from Askrigg & 6 miles from the bustling market town of Hawes, home of the famous Wensleydale Cheese Creamery.
Stablefell Camping was recently listed in the Sunday Times top 40 campsites in the UK & Ireland for 2019!
